FictionBy started with a simple frustration: readers who loved independent fiction had no reliable way to discover more of it without sorting through endless algorithms, ghostwritten filler, and impersonal corporate catalogs.

Self-publishing gave each of us the creative freedom to write exactly the books we wanted to write — clean romance, sweeping romantasy, sharp thrillers, cozy mysteries, and expansive sci-fi. But it also meant readers had to take a leap of faith on an unknown name, every single time.

The Cooperative Model

So five of us came together to build something better. Not a massive publishing house, and not a faceless brand, but a true cooperative. Every author on this shelf writes their own work, manages their own worlds, and answers their own reader mail.
